Done is new perfect
I am experimenting. This year, no goals have been set yet. At least not the measurable ones. The main operating timeframe is a day and the mission is to learn. The underlying lesson since this year began is that done is better than perfect.
Friday’s cup of tea
I invite you to invite yourself for a cup of soothing beverage. Spend time with yourself. Not just to kill time. To observe. Listen to your mind, your heart. What have you noticed?
It's all about little substitutions
Are you tired of replying to all your e-mails? Why not clean the shoes? Do you feel overwhelmed by the number of projects on your desk? Try emptying the dishwasher.
Freelancer’s Log [January 2022]
There were many questions in my head, many aspects to consider and sometimes I felt overwhelmed. I felt under pressure, even if there were no explicit external enforcers of deadlines or evaluation of my performance.
This is a test
I stop myself before I even had a chance to create something. I want it to be perfect to be worth sharing. I strive for perfection. All that, however, usually results in ideas never seeing the light of day.
Christmas Moments
Perhaps there is a parallel reality, where a well-organized version of me is enjoying picture-perfect holidays. But in this reality, it is certainly not the case. How are the holidays for you? If you can relate to being stressed, putting yourself under pressure, and feeling generally overwhelmed (even if objectively you don’t have a legitimate reason to be) then… Welcome! I have a little present for you!
1-2-3 of day-2-day
Getting ready for tomorrow, and not only that, but the whole week ahead is exciting and/or stressful. I read that our bodies experience both emotions in a very similar fashion (chemically speaking). So before you go to bed, or perhaps you meet this article with your morning coffee, let me share simple tricks I am trying out these days. I hope they bring you a spark, an appetizer of inspiration to your workday.
3x3 Morning Routines
This is not a how to article or one of those 23+ lists you have to read to increase your productivity and get that promotion you des(erve)ire. No such expectations are set for this piece. Instead please read it as if we went for coffee and I just told you about something new I am trying. In particular, one of my ambivalent friends - a routine!
Walk and share your path
I noticed her instagram few years ago. Papelier. Intriguing! I saw she was not a full time psychologist but also creating beautiful notebooks. Unlike some other accounts which gave me anxiety, hers made me smile from the first moment. To see her progress over the years I knew I had to ask her about her journey. I learned a lot and I hope you will find an inspiration in our conversation as well.
Decisions & shaping your path
I talked to my friend about how he found his path after leaving full time corporate job. We talked about decisions and how to shape our own path. Let me introduce you to Phil Sterne - writes CVs and make them POP!
Finding your path and trusting yourself
I talked to my friend about how she changed her career path and found courage to try something completely new! Let me introduce you to Simona Macorova - Sex & Relationship Coach and Educator.
From behind the scenes | Welcome
Not everything is as it seems or as we think we see it. Especially at the beginning of a journey the struggle could seem so overwhelming we might never start. From behind the scenes is section where I want to explore how people felt and what they did at the very beginning of their careers.
